REINCARNATION

stars lighting up above us
in this inapproachable infinity of life
being connections in between us
like there had never been any restriction of time

sitting side by side in this dark blue
counting the years that are parting our lives in two

powdery sand
been held captive in my hand
trying to imagine its past
while letting it flow through my fingers fast

our predetermined time goes unnoticed by
but if we could see the real pace we would notice a lie
we would experience a much faster speed
and we would feel the desire and need
to dial back

at the almost end
we sense the transformation
an emotion that until then
had only been a notion
skipping into speed of light
slipping into this black blue night

and then life again parts in two
sitting side by side in the dark blue
counting stars and lives that still have to be lived by you
and me too
